Tesla Cybertruck Police Cruiser Launches To A Wave Of Interest

Move over Ford and Dodge, there is a new car brand looking to power their way into a police station near you. 

A Tesla Cybertruck was recently upfitted by a California company called UP.FIT, a leader in upfitting services for fleet use Tesla’s. They are a division of Unplugged Performance, a leader in performance upgrades for the brand.

UP.FIT recently announced the world’s first Tesla Cybertruck Patrol vehicle. This futuristic looking truck is ready to be used by police departments, military, and tactical response agencies. UP.FIT has used its extensive Tesla knowledge and experience to create a Cybertruck meant for specialty use.

This is not the first UP.FIT creation for law enforcement. They already have packages available for several Tesla models that are made just for police use.

The announcement and showcasing of its features has created a lot of interest from agencies across the country.

“The UP.FIT Cybertruck Next-Gen Patrol vehicle represents a significant engineering leap into the future and we’re excited to offer law enforcement agencies the future of policing.” said Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance. “We’ve been thrilled with the direct feedback from police departments that have participated in our Cybertruck development and we look forward to deploying these complete UP.FIT vehicles to law enforcement agencies across the nation this year.” he said.

The UP.FIT Cybertruck police version comes complete with standard equipment including:

  • Sirens
  • PA system
  • Computer system
  • Flashing lights
  • Radio communication system

Specialized wiring systems and proprietary integrations make all of these features possible.

Let’s not forget the option to receive internet services from Starlink.

The Cybertruck can also be customized based on various needs. Features like prisoner partitions, K9 enclosures, off-road upgrades and more can be added on request. 

UP.FIT is also providing planning, consulting, and fleet management services to organizations wishing to invest in a Cybertruck fleet. Behind-the-wheel experiences and training are also offered.

Shipments to interested parties are expected to start later this year.
