Bugatti recently announced the final production of their Chiron model, but they were quick to announce the launch of its next model!
The luxury car brand will drop their latest hypercar masterpiece on June 20th. Based on teasers being released on social media, we can see fans are excited and like what they are seeing.
One of the first videos released was back in February and gave us a taste of what the engine will sound like, and it is perfection.
In two teasers on their YouTube channel you can get a glimpse of their unique taillight design and the rims.
At the core of this automotive marvel lies a naturally-aspirated V-16 engine, a three-foot-long engineering masterpiece that’s sure to make your heart race. This beast is getting a hybrid twist, promising an outrageous amount of power that’ll leave you breathless.
“But what about the good old internal combustion engine?”
Fear not! Bugatti’s boss, Mate Rimac, fought tooth and nail to ensure that this hypercar stays true to its roots, beating out proposals for a fully electric replacement for the legendary Chiron.
While the details of the electrified portion of the powertrain are still under wraps, one thing’s for sure – this car is going to be a performance monster.
With modern Bugatti’s offering a standard 1,000 horsepower, we can only imagine this car will be at least that. And if the outgoing Chiron Super Sport 300+ with its 1578 hp is any indication, this new hypercar is going to leave everything else in the dust.
Rumor has it that the car might be capable of reaching a jaw-dropping 341 mph, based on a leaked image of its timepiece-inspired analog speedometer.
When it comes to the design, Bugatti is taking inspiration from three iconic models: the Type 57 SC Atlantic, Type 41 Royale, and Type 35. According to Mate Rimac himself, the exterior design is “evolutionary,” suggesting a sleek, mid-engined masterpiece that pays homage to its predecessors while pushing the boundaries of automotive art.
Bugatti has stated that this new hypercar is “pour l’éternité,” which translates to “for eternity.”
